The passing of a pet is a traumatic event. The following section has been designed to help you understand the various services we provide and help answer any concerns you may have. Please accept our deepest sympathy.

Q. How do I know the cremains I receive back are my pet’s cremains?

A. Inserv Pet Crematory assigns an identification number to each Individual cremation we receive. The numbers are assigned through a red tag system. Veterinary hospitals are given numbered red tags and each individual cremation is given a red tag. When the cremation is transported to Inserv, this red tag number is put on a stainless steel disk that stays with your pet throughout the entire cremation process. Your pet is placed in an individual cremation pan along with the numbered disk assuring the integrity of your pet’s cremains. Your cremains along with the identification disk are then placed into the container of your choice. A certificate of cremation is included with each Individual Cremation.


Q. How long does this process take?

A. Depending on the size of your pet, the cremation process generally takes between 1 to 2 hours. Your pet would then be returned to your veterinarian in 3 to 5 business days.

Q. Can I be present during this cremation?

A. Yes. If you select our Individual Cremation Service you may schedule a viewing by appointment only. Please ask your veterinarian for details and call 1-877-546-7378 to schedule a viewing.

Q. What type of containers are available for my pets cremains to be placed in?

A. We have three different options to choose from.

    1. Our standard cremation service includes a floral tin.
    2. Our Gold Remembrance Package includes a hand made cedar urn. Also included in this package is a brass engraved nameplate of your pet’s name. These are enclosed in a drawstring pouch along with a certificate of cremation.
    3. Our last option is an Oak Picture Box. Like the Gold Remembrance Package, the Oak Picture Box also comes with a brass engraved nameplate. The picture can be easily inserted in the urn, displaying your beloved pet.
